Part 5 of music during the Vietnam War, some Scotty Moore and read some of my book, "Coming Home from the War" play list:

At this time of the year in 1966 it was my 4th week in Vietnam, so Tuesday night on "LA Sounds" I'll be playing part 5 of some of the music that was played on the air during the Vietnam War and I'll play some Scotty Moore, and read a little bit more of my book, "Coming Home from the War" at 8:30.

Scotty Moore played guitar on Elvis Presley's early music. He was a pioneering rock guitarist and he was one of the founders of Rockabilly music. He was also one of the co-founders of rock ‘n' roll because of the guitar licks the he invented. Moore, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was the last surviving member of the combo that include Elvis Presley, bassist Bill Black and producer Sam Phillips. Moore died last week at 84.
