Thank you to EVERYONE who volunteered to staff our phones during KZFR's Spring 2023 pledge drive.

Thank you to all the local non-profit groups who answered the pledge drive phones for 10 days along with dedicated community members, programmers and board members. 

We appreciate all the groups listed below. Your volunteer time keeps independent community radio going strong! Which in turn gives everyone in our community a chance to be heard.

ARC of Butte County - "ARC is committed to securing for all people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play."

American Association of University Women - "We are tenacious and trailblazing — advocating for women and girls since 1881 and into the future!"

Atheists of Butte County - "A California north state association of Freethinkers, Humanists, Rationalists, Skeptics and Atheists united to provide members with meaningful social, educational, voluntary and advocacy activities."

Boys & Girls Club of the North Valley - "A safe and positive place to learn and grow with quality trained staff and volunteers."

Butte County Local Food Network - "Our mission is to create a more healthy, just, resilient, regenerative local food system in Butte County and its foodshed."

Butte Environmental Council - "Our mission is to protect and defend the land, air and water of Butte County and the surrounding region."

Catalyst Domestic Violence Services - "Catalyst is committed to serving the needs of all victims of domestic violence and their children regardless of ethnicity, citizenship, language, religion, physical disabilities, sexual orientation, gender identity or HIV status."

Chico Area Interfaith Council - "Exists to strengthen bonds among faith groups in service to the community. We provide educational programs to foster public understanding and tolerance, create opportunities for building relationships across lines of difference, and facilitate cooperation on community efforts that reflect the shared values of our diverse traditions.

Chico Housing Action Team - "The mission of the CHAT is to ensure that every person in our community has access to fair and adequate shelter and sanitation."

Doroteia Pathways - "To enhance the lives of children of very poor Maya Tz'utujil families in San Pedro la Laguna Guatemala through art, nutrition and education assistance; to afford opportunities for a bright future. To respect the local people and their cultural traditions."

Habitat For Humanity of Butte County - "HFH brings people together to build homes, communities and hope."

Paradise Community Guilds - Newly renamed Paradise Grange is now the Norton Buffalo Hall "Build Community - Support Local Agriculture - Promote Sustainable Living - Education.

Safe Space Winter Shelter - providing low-barrier emergency shelter from December through March for people experiencing homelessness in Chico, California.

Sky Creek Dharma Center - "Our mission is to support and sustain the activities of Buddhist sanghas* and offer the Dharma to the community."

Stonewall Alliance - "We are an active resource for the LGBTQ+ community, and we are open, safe, and inclusive for all people. We provide information, advocacy, referrals, and support to those who come to us."

True North Housing Alliance - "we meet people where they are on their path to making a better life for themselves. We offer a spectrum of services that move people forward and out of homelessness in Butte County with compassion, dignity, and accountability."

Youth For Change - "Providing comprehensive and dynamic services, support and treatment to individuals, families and communities in the North State."

And a couple of local businesses volunteered as well! Chico Natural Foods Co-Op and KAI Music & Arts. Our thanks go out to them as well.
