March 19, 2024 - American Pastimes

Recorded in the "Bob Speer Studio" at KZFR, American Pastimes features contemporary Americana, gospel, bluegrass, old-time string bands and a set of jug band music. Local musicians Lise Welch, Pam Laughlin, Pam Kather and Christine LaPado perform a set as Mama's Hotcakes, and Sally Van Meter and her brother Danny Van Meter sing and play on a tune that was featured on two episodes of "Northern Exposure." There's a set from the Tenneva Ramblers recorded in 1927-28, and The Rough and Tumble duo are featured as well....they'll be performing on March 28th at the Chico Women's Club - hosted by KZFR.

Thanks Bob. We'll miss you!
