Jackie grew up down in Bakersfield, with music as one of her few outlets for teen discontentment and neverending boredom. Some of her fondest memories of that time are of being alone in her room with only her stereo for company (which she still has), staying up late with KRAB Radio’s The Real Bruce Wayne or putting the Ramones, Smashing Pumpkins, KMFDM, on repeat.

After a stint in the Bay Area for college, she found her way back to the valley, to Chico where she met her partner and discovered KZFR - and knew she had found somewhere special. With no background in radio or DJing, her only qualifications prior to joining the station are hours spent meticulously curating playlists, burning mix CDs, never letting go of physical media, and, above all, a desire to give back to KZFR and the Chico community.

By day, she works in the apparel industry designing graphic t-shirts, and enjoys art, film, cooking, reading, doll collecting, and thrifting.
