Thanks to all the volunteer bodyworkers we always have a wide variety of massage available for you to try at The Touch! You don't want to miss it! Sunday, Sept 30th at the Chico Creek Nature Center.

~ Nichole Ashley Bodywork by Nikki - Every massage is customized to each individual client, every single session. Offering a finely tuned detection for strain in muscle and fascia. Utilizing a variety of styles: Deep tissue, Swedish/Relaxation, Pre-Post Natal, Sports Therapy, Active Release Technique, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Trigger Point therapy, Women's Health, and Aromatherapy. Nikki believes massage is a perfect therapy that combines conscious kindness and technical understanding to provide lasting results.

~ Vanessa Renee Barajas I recently earned my diploma from the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. I approach each session with individualized intention, genuine care and positive energy. I believe therapeutic touch is essential for wellness, healing and growth. I can provide full body relaxation Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, CranioSacral, RockTape, and bodywork for PTSD. All abilities welcome!

~ Angela Cathleen of Elements Yoga will be offering Thai Massage this year. Thai massage looks like a cross between acupressure, yoga, and Zen shiatsu. The massage consists of a technique that uses slow, rhythmic compression and stretching along the body's energy lines. Thai massage concentrates on applying pressure along 10 of the most important Sen using the palms of the hands, thumbs, elbows, and feet.

~ Cornelia Coppock She gives Intuitive Massages, using techniques such as Reiki, Cranial-sacral Therapy, Aromatherapy and Swedish Massage. Her goal for each treatment is to remind your body how to relax so that your body-mind-spirit can be in balance.

~ Elizabeth Daniels Happy Feet Reflexology Foot and hand massage with use of essential oils, reiki and sharing “insights” into what’s”ailing you” or “what’s out of alignment/balance”. She works with ‘you’ AND your ‘inner you’ to bring you back into balance. 

~ Victor Estrada In his  practice he provides acupressure, sports massage, release of tension spots, and general bodywork. He is a retired registered massage therapist and we are honored that he comes out of retirement to join this year's event.

~ Justin Ferrin Reiki practitioner Reiki is a form of energy healing that draws upon a stream of universal life force energy. Along with promoting relaxation and stress relief, Reiki helps to align and harmonize the many layers that comprise a human being.

~ Aaron Fetty His massage style blends Swedish, deep tissue, sports, Lomi Lomi, and other styles into a nice therapeutic stew. He has more than 10 years of experience as a massage instructor under his  belt as well. 

~ Ken Hanson Stress Less, Smile More Relaxologist  Blending Swedish and Lomi Lomi styles along with his intuitiveness, Ken offers a unique massage tailored to the individual.

~ Readings by Kozmic Kev Kozmic Kev with be giving astrological as well as tarot readings at the Touch of Chico. People who would like astrology readings should be prepared with time and place of birth. Tarot readings require nothing other than  a question perhaps not even that. ~ Tanene Kurtenbach Since 1973, Tanene has utilized the sacred sciences—astrology, tarot, dream interpretation--as healing modalities in which to coach individuals to create a future that calls them into being. ~ Adam Moes Acupuncture A California state licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese Medicine. He has been in private practice as an acupuncturist and herbalist for 17 years, and a practitioner on the Buddhist Path for over 30 years.  He graduated in 2001 from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz California. ~ Jonah Platt A skilled energy medicine practitioner. He is a self-proclaimed energetic mechanic and offers intensive energy work that clears psychic cobwebs, attunes clients to be in alignment with their truer self, and removes stress and sometimes pain. ~ Rose Paysnick has over 30 years of experience as a CMT. She opened the first alternative health center in the city of San Luis Obispo. She went on to open another day spa in Cambria, CA. During the last 30 years she has received education in many modalities that encompass both western and eastern medicine. She blends this knowledge to make every body treatment as beneficial as possible to the recipient. She will be offering chair massage at this year's event.

~ Emily Jones Salmon  Practicing bodywork in Chico and Paradise for 14 years. She specializes in deep tissue and structural work for body alignment, along with relaxation techniques to soothe the busy mind. She is certified in Reiki and prenatal massage, and as a mother of 5, enjoys working on children.  A long-time yogini, she is a RYT-200, teaching gentle and alignment-based yoga. ~ Gaia So has been a practicing massage and Upledger-trained craniosacral therapist for more than 25 years.  I use a listening touch to tune in on trouble, restrictions, and use craniosacral techniques, along with muscle-specific deep tissue massage to help your body find its ease.   

~ Monqiue Sonoquie  (Chumash, Apache, Yaqui, Irish) Maori Romiromi is the use of the body and earth elements for very deep tissue work to open your body, re-establish your spiritual flow and release emotional traumas. I have hosted The Maori Healers from Aotearoa/New Zealand for over ten years and have been in training with them for over three.

~ Pia States – Vibrational Healing The power of various tuning forks has the ability to create a resonance through the body, mind and emotions and help you find the Still Point allowing for the body to work on its own healing. You will feel a sense of total relaxation and restore balance and perfect harmony of your whole body.

~ Diana Suzuki Enhanced Health includes Shiatsu, Reflexology, Myofascial Release and other blended therapies. Her specialties are Prenatal massage and End of Life Massage care. She practices at American Chi Center in Chico. This year she will be offering barefoot shiatsu and tuning fork options.
