Tonight on LA Sounds I’ll be doing part 2 of celebrating the life of Lazy Lester who was a blues artist from Louisiana who moved to Paradise several years ago and who I was lucky enough to meet become friends with because he listened to “LA Sounds” (my show on KZFR) every Tuesday night. I’ll be playing a lot of Lazy Lester’s music as well as music by people who influenced him and who he influenced including Lightnin’ Slim, Etta James, Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Little Walter, Taj Mahal, Bo Diddley, Koko Taylor, Katie Webster and Willie Dixon.
