Wonka Radio! Wednesday, April 28th:

We had an amazing show, graced by two special guests, local celebrities Anne Marie Chik and Miss Serena (Serena LaRossa)! Mrs. Chik is a kindergarten teacher at Chico Country Day School, and an aficionado of children's literature. Miss Serena is a beloved member of the CCDS After School Program, and a published author. They joined the Wonka team, along with several charming fans and CCDS students, in the studio to share some great reads.

Mrs. Chik read:

  • The island light by Rosemary Wells
  • The runaway bunny by Margaret Wise Brown
  • Another important book by Margaret Wise Brown

Miss Serena read her awesome new book, hot off the presses:

  • Princess Marie

It was a fabulous, fun-filled half-hour! Many thanks to our lovely guests for their visit, and for all they do! We hope you'll join us every other week for wild, wooly, wacky wadio! All together now:

Where is fancy bread, in the heart or in the head?

Liesl and Dena
