Join us on One World Music to hear from Bob Winshall's music collection that he brought with him from West Africa. He will be in the studio from 12:30-1:30 on August 4th.
Dhara Lemos will be my 1:00 hour guest. Dhara is co-editor of the Lotus guide and will be talking about her newly released cd.
In the 2:00 hour Dan DeWayne, the organizer of the 14th annual California Worldfest will be in to talk about this year's festival lineup. Headliners include Ziggy Marley, Afro-Cuban All Stars, Dobet Gnahore, Keb'Mo
Miranda Talbott-Pope is my guest tomorrow in the one o'clock hour. Mira(nda) has been living in Guatemala for the past 3 years and will be in the studio to talk about her fundraising efforts to improve a local school in San Pedro. Last year she wrote a novel called Heart in the Sky which gave us a peek into her experience in Central America. Tune in tomorrow.
My guests will be Karen Goodwin, Cathy Webster and Billie Kanter. The three travelled to South Africa and Kenya early this year and will share their experiences with the listeners.
