 A lot of people have asked me where they can get my books so I thought I'd tell you that I just published my 2nd book, Coming Home From the War on Amazon Kindle. It picks up where my 1st book, Running From the Fire left off. It tells the true story of a young man coming home after being drafted into the army and surviving a year in Vietnam and struggling to readjust to civilian life.

 On Saturday, Oct 15 from 5-7:30 PM on LA Sounds I'll be playing some of my Dad's favorite music and at 6:30 I'll play some more of the tape I made of him telling his story of how he came to this country and how he rode the rails during the depression looking for work. The picture is of my Dad when his was in his late 70s.

 During my show today broadcast live online at kzfr.org from 5 - 7:30 PM, I'll be playing music for my father and at 6:30 PM I'll play part of a recording I made of my father talking about his life and how he came to this country.

 On Saturday 10/7/11 on “LA Sounds” (streamed live from 5 to 7:30 PM at KZFR.ORG), I'll be playing music my dad loved again this week because I got such a good response for playing music for my dad on his birthday in August that I’m going to do it again because this is the week he passed away.

On Saturday 9/3/11 At 6:30 PM on “LA Sounds” (streamed live from 5 to 7:30 at KZFR.ORG). My year in Vietnam was up and I was climbing aboard the freedom bird back home. All I knew was I wanted to get out of 'Nam as soon as possible. I had no idea what was waiting for me once I got home. (This is my last reading for now. I'm going to take a break for a while) 

 On Saturday 8/27/11 At 6:30 PM on “LA Sounds” (streamed live from 5 to 7:30 at KZFR.ORG). I was getting ready to leave Vietnam and all I wanted to do was to get back home but I was ordered to go out into the field one last time and I almost missed my flight back home.

 On Saturday 8/20/11 At 6:30 PM on “LA Sounds” (streamed live from 5 to 7:30 at KZFR.ORG). I just got back from going on leave in Bangkok and was down to my last 3 weeks in Vietnam. Naturally I wanted to go right back to Bangkok but Captain Johnson had other plans for me to do in 'Nam but I just wanted to get the hell out of there.

On Saturday 8/13/11 At 6:30 PM on “LA Sounds” (streamed live from 5 to 7:30 at KZFR.ORG) at 90.1 FM Chico, I just got back from being on R&R in Bangkok and only had a few weeks left in Vietnam. I was anxious to get back home alive and I wanted to go to Bangkok again before I left but Captain Johnson had other plans for me first.

On Saturday 8/6/11 At 6:30 PM on “LA Sounds” (streamed live from 5 to 7:30 at kzfr.org at 90.1 FM Chico) I'll read about going back to Vietnam after being on R&R in Bangkok. The only way I could force myself to go back to Vietnam was by promising myself that I was getting back to Thailand as soon as possible.
