Miranda Talbott-Pope is my guest tomorrow in the one o'clock hour. Mira(nda) has been living in Guatemala for the past 3 years and will be in the studio to talk about her fundraising efforts to improve a local school in San Pedro.  Last year she wrote a novel called Heart in the Sky which gave us a peek into her experience in Central America.  Tune in tomorrow.

In 1940 , five year old Hiroki Sugihara, the eldest son of the Japanese consul to Lithuania, saw from the consulate window hundreds of Jewish refugees form Poland. They had come to Hiroki’s father with a desperate request: Could Consul Sugihara write visas for them to escape the Nazi threat?
