On American Pastimes: The Railflowers perform live in the KZFR studio.
This local trio of sisters weave a folky Americana with guitar, banjo, mandolin and a bit of the eggshaker. The Railflowers blend three part harmonies to create a musical tapestry of memories and experiences that have inspired their lives. Hannah, Beth and Ellen Knight began singing together in the living room to their mom’s favorite musicians including: Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, and Joni Mitchell. They formally started The Railflowers in the fall of 2009 and have been actively sharing and pursuing their passion across northern California ever since.
The Railflowers will be opening the show (for Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers) at the 4th Annual Benefit Concert for Kids & Creeks Outdoor Education. The concert takes place on Friday, February 25th at the Chico Women's Center. Music starts at 7:30 p.m.
